tintoretto
Hello people, I am a german architect who recently discovered the outstanding possibilites of radiosity depiction. Please comment my first steps using the lightscape 3.2 software. Unfortunately I could only afford this software because the prizes had been trimmed down due to discontinuing of the product. I got a real bargin from a private seller. Please tell me something about the software products that are subsequent to lightscape and give me some advice for choosing the appropriate one. Thanks al lot in advance Regards
Richard McCarthy
There are some nasty "banding" effects that I see in all your pictures, I think you need to save your files to 32 bit colour either TIFF or JPEG. Beside that, good modeling The lighting still seems a bit dark, I suggest you re-adjust your daylight solution slightly, maybe let it run a bit more (I find the light doesn't seem to bounce as much as it can), and also probably adjust the brightness and contrast a bit in Photoshop or HDR Shop. -RM
tintoretto
Hi Richard, thanks for your answer. What kind of software do you use? Is your "banding" comment related to the ceiling? I think it is more a problem of reducement and convertion of the original picture (1596x1037 -> 600x600; tif -> gif). What´s your opinion? Somteimes LS is counting above 100% of radiosity, why? Best wishes Thorsten
