lefks
This might be a silly question but I am rendering this scene and I want all the objects in the scene to show up in the alpha channel. I thought by rendering the scene as a tga file it would automatically save them. It doesnt seem to be the case. I am using vray as my renderer and I dont see Alpha on the list in my g-buffer output channels. Anybody can help me? thanks
martin walker
well I normally render out in the standard Max Frame Buffer as a PNG with alpha enabled...perhaps give that a try ?
Ricardo Eloy
When you save an image and you want it to keep the alpha channel, you have to tell it so. In the case of TGA, make sure you're saving a 32-bit image. The channel will be there for you to see it using Photoshop or whatever.
lefks
Hi Rick, Thats what I thought. It seems though it is not showing up. I tried saving them as PNG or TGA files and I do not see my alpha. Any other suggestions? Is it a setting?
