tanuki1965
Hello 3ds max's friends, Just wanna know how can I do to render hair with the new Maxwell plugin in 3dsmax. It's written on the Maxwell site that it's possible.....some people say this new Mawxell plugin for Max is not very reliable....is it true ? Better to keep the previous plugin ? any ideas ? Thanks for your help.
m3willia
I use Ornatrix for hair. All you have to do is convert it to poly before rendering. It ends up giving you a pretty large file, but it works fine.
tanuki1965
Thanks for your help m3willia, I will try this way, but I will use the hair and fur system of Max, I did it before but I got a warning message from Maxwell.... Have a nice week-end,
Devin Johnston
You can use the hair and fur system in Max if you convert it to a mesh, as for the plugin I still can't tell if it's better than what you already have. Some people say its working better; others say it's not so good; I'm going to wait for the next one.

Msamir
In the tools menu in the hair and fur modifier you'll find convert to splines or mesh, dont forget to remove it also from the effects under render menu.
