Hair & fur message during rendering in 3dsmax 8

hi,

 

I had applied hair & fur modifier to a plane & later removed the modifier from stack & also deleted the object. But I still keep getting the message "Sorry Hair and fur can only render perspective view".

 

How do I stop getting this message ?.

 

I even tested this in a completely new max scene. Made a plane, Applied modifier & then removed it. Same message even when modifier has been deleted. Pleae let me know how I can get rid of this. I am attaching the sample file. Contains nothing but gives message during rendering.

 

Working on 3dsmax 8 service pack 2.
