mbowers
I once came across a website in which the employees of an design business rated their own firm in various areas; pay, benefits, atmosphere, job quality, bosses...etc. I am looking for new employment and want to make sure i don't step in the same mess again. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
BrianKitts
i remember something similar sorry I don't still have the links...but I will interject my two cents on the subject. We showed this to our HR department and they shot it down. Basically on the fact the site we found didn't have much accreditation. (exaggeration) -> If I have a firm and want to draw in new employees I could be the worst boss in the world and force all my employees to login and say I rock, I am the best boss they ever had, and that it's the best place in the world to work at......then we would look pretty good on paper so to say. So check out the sites when you find em, but use them as guides not absolutes.
mbowers
While i agree with your exaggeration, i think (but am not sure) this site was a behind-the-scenes approach, meaning the principals weren't aware. Oh well, i'll keep looking, perhaps the potential firm isn't even listed.
AJLynn
I think what you're looking for is insidearch.org - but I'd take the whole thing with a grain of salt, as a lot of what's written there seems to be from disgruntled types. (Isn't that a strange word? Kind of implies that happy people are "gruntled".)

AJLynn
So then, there really is a web page for everything.
John Dollus
insidearch is pretty good. At least some information is better than no information and if there are nothing but disgruntled posts, you need to ask if the firm makes tham disgruntled or just hires only disgruntled people - hmmm. I wouldn't suggest letting some website dictate your interest in a firm anyway. If you are interested in a firm and see a lot of negative posts, ask their HR dept about it during the interview. They may not be aware of it and can respond to any negative posts that might shed some light on the circumstances surrounding the post. I also heard somewhere that jobster.com allowed companies to be rated as well but I haven't checked it at all myself.
Sawyer
I think what you're looking for is insidearch.org That is the one I have seen before. I would assume at this point that an asset like this is not "underground", very little falls under the radar these days. I was looking at local firms just now and it seemed that most had only 1-2 responces and were either from managment/priciples (it says so on the tag and they loved the place) or unhappy people. These polls only work if there is consensus, I person is very unlikely to give a universal view.
mbowers
Thanks for your help guys. Inside arch was the site i was looking for. I shouldn't have used the term "underground" and it would be difficult to rate a firm that has 100 employees and only 2 have commented...
