cjlopez4
My vray sun is set to .9 vray sky - default shadow subdivisions: 30 diffuse sub (sun) 1200 irr - 50 int samples - 25 f16/125/100 saturation - 1 contrast - 1.3 contrast base - .5 I'm just not getting realistic lighting with these settings. Must be my materials. Does anything seem off from the settings shown?
ipxstudios
try sun intensity at 1 - vray camera shutter speed around 400. Make sure you have vray sky in both rendering and GI environment
wilky9
I'd calm down the wind, too. The flag is dominating the rendering right now.
Zeilveen
Hmm intersting point, this combination of Vraysun + sky + p-cam is causing more trouble here and there. I had a nice struggle getting my background up to normal colours. Your's seems fine, just a little playing with settings will help. I used f4/250/200 to start with and than only upped the shutter speed. For the composition I would be tempted to widen the picture and lower the hight so you a different proportioned image. please post again with your new render and settings! lafiera
beside of the other fellows all ready say, that i agree with, i think you may are using the wrong color mapping, you should be using the linear multiplier or exponential with some adjusment on dark multiplier

I will try linear next go-round. With linear, do I need to adjust gamma in the preferences anywhere in max? Also, Do I save with an adjusted gamma of 2.2?
