FlipStick3
Hi there, I'm trying to bend a fixed window object and have tried everything i can think of but nothing works! Basically if I try and use the bend modifier it moves the struts of the window to the right path of bend but the frame stays straight and will not bend regardless of anything I do. Any thoughts? Brian Smith
You have to have vertices in the window frame in order for it to bend. Sounds like you dont.
FlipStick3
Cheers for that - But I also tried subdividing the mesh and that didnt work either!
ipxstudios
group them together first and then apply the FFD box modifier.

FlipStick3
Cheers for your help but it still won't work! I have tried grouping the Window, applying bend, applying a FFD modifier in all sorts of combinations and it still wont bend my window. Any other ideas? Justin Hunt
Use the "Slice" to divide the frame, sash and glass up, then add the bend JHV

Ricardo Eloy
I know it may sound silly, but since it's a fixed window (i.e., no animation will be done) why not custom model it the shape you want instead of using max's window (which is definetly heavier than anything you might model)?
