purnomo_adi
I have tried many times to simulate an interior scene with daylight illuminated entire room. But I wonder why lightscape do that some weird casting problem. I meant with casting on a plane of rock face with daylight, why it cast pure white not definitely look like just on the real world? All objects was modeled in Viz 4 and render with lightscape....But I thought it look a little flat to me. Please needed your comment and some suggestion for achieving better result... :onfusedw: http://www.cgarchitect.com/forum/filepush.asp?file=2ndposting.jpg
Richard McCarthy
Nice modeling and rendering, although I have to agree it's a bit flat. Perhaps you didn't have your material set right in LS. Is the "rockface" wall geometry or texturemap? if it's texture map, you need to set it to bump mapping in LS. -RM
purnomo_adi
I modeled the rockface with just a single plane in Viz 4. I thought you were right about making some bump mapping on that material in LS. I will try that idea later... After rendering final still images in LS, I usually make some color correction in Photoshop, maybe so much adjustment so my image look a little bit flat. purnomo_adi
Thanks to RM for your idea. As to what I read on Lightscape manual bump mapping only work on material that not using any texture maps (images), so I wonder it will work applying on that rockface material?!
