hereagain
I need to render an exterior building scene at 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall @72dpi. It is a simple 3/4 shot towards a single buillding with an HDRI sky and one Vraylight for the sun. The building facade is mostly glass with some visible concrete panels. What settings can I decrease in Vray so the rendering does not take a week to process? Thanks for the assistance.
Antisthenes
i was going to say for a 24x36 render at 10,800 x 7200 but for what you want 74 dpi is only monitor resolution try going for AT LEAST 150dpi 14,000 x 7,200 time:quality there is always a trade off ratio, can't be avoided
Ricardo Eloy
Dumb question: why would a 4-feet display need 150 dpi? One will need to step back at least 3 feet in order to see it properly, so there would be no need for that resolution. About the settings, we would need to see the pic and your current settings to say wheter you can decrease something or not.
Andrew1
Hey I do work in the Commercial Sign Industry, and I recently produced a banner 4' x 10', the way I rendered the scene, it did take some time well (over night) what I did is rendered it 4800 x 6400 pcx then saved it as tif at 600 dpi, I can not remember what my final image dpi was but it turned out very sharp. I just checked it the final image was 100 dpi . Hope this helps. Cheers!
Antisthenes
very dumb jk ya we need to see the pic... yes Andrew1 gives the reason, sharpness , so what that you need to be so far back you can still be so close up. and 74dpi hmmm at the least
