nisus
Hi all, What magazines do your read regarding cgi? Personally, I am subscribed to Computer Arts, Computer Arts Special and recently to 3DWorld. These do not cover cga (cg-architecture) but do give a nice overview of the available software, strategies and evolution in cg. I also like articles on design/production firms and the artist portfolios. Don't like the tuts too much, because I've found better readings on that subject. Anyone knows a magazine about cg-architecture? rgds nisus
STRAT
i've been subscribing to 3dworld for the last couple of years, but your right, a specific mag for cg architecture would be excellent. in the UK here i also get the Building Design weekly architecture magazine. never anything on cg in there but it does include nice cg examples of firms work in there. nisus
Hi all, Doesn't anyone reads magazines around here? nisus
quizzy
Since I work at an architect, I read all the architectural mag's. But nothing specific on CGA, everything that i read on CGA I do on the internet, also because its much more up to date. CGA is such a fast moving thing that anything written in a mag COULD be out dated the next week.
John Dollus
Cadalyst does a good job of balancing visualization and drafting content. Cadence seems more geared towards AE management. CineFX is wonderful for inspiration and Computer Graphics World has always been in my collection but seems a bit light on content and heavy on ads lately. I also read Game Developer as it has some good insights into rendering issues and production articles. John D
stefkeB
3DWorld (subscription) and Computer Arts (occasionally). 3DWorld is the best, although much focussed on Hollywood entertainment.
