diegofer_9
Hi people, I was wondering if anyone had this problem before and can guide me on how to solve it. I used VIZ2007 for modeling this project and as you can see, it displays terrible when in FACETS or SMOOTH&HIGHLIGHTS mode. It also happens to other projects. Any idea what is causing this? Thanks a lot!
AJLynn
Are there overlapping polygons in there? Overlapping polygons will do that, as it tries to display both with unpredictable results. Also, where you see holes, there might be flipped faces. Is this a Sketchup model? One of my old students showed me a model from Sketchup with problems like this a couple weeks agoand the solution was to look at it in Sketchup's monochromatic display mode and flip any blue faces, and export a 3DS file using 2-sided faces as materials. diegofer_9
Hi Andrew, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, there are not co-planar faces there, it is just a polygonal gox, and the faces are "facing" the right way. It's not from sketchup either, it was modeled in VIZ2007. Something weird isnt? Thanks for your help. D.
