gege
Can somebody plz help me .. With the material browser I've applied clear glass to objects. In the model the glass is indeed transparant, but if I render it, I cant see trough it at all. I have the same configurations of somebody else who has also tried it on another computer (where it works)... In de render options, 'apply materials' is on.. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong here..

sterealkey
Also be sure to always check the material type. For instance if you use Vray as your rendere, but the material was not set up for VRay, then it will show black. I think I know exactly which clear glass material you're talking about. Instead rather make a VRay glass material with these settings. Diffuse - Pure black Refelctions - pure white, with Fresnel reflections switched on Refraction - pure white, make sure your IOR (index of refraction) is set to 1.6, although this should be the default so no worries. This will give you better looking glass and it will also render quicker than the standard glass material. I hope this helps
