estyl
Hi I checked many tutorials speaking about how to make materials in Vray, they all show you how to make material with glass, mirror, plastic, velvet and many other aspect, but nothing about how to make a material using a texture, except when it's for displacement maps. I tried to make a material based on a tile texture and the result is ... well awful, I would appreciate any help about the setting and maybe for a good tutorial concerning textures. Thanks

Trevor Tizard
Looks more like a mapping issue........have you applied a cylindrical UVW map modifier to your object?
estyl
No i didn't use any UVW modifier. But do we have to apply a UVW modifier according the shape of the object?
Trevor Tizard
oh yes.....................! I suggest you have a look in the max tutorials at texture mapping before getting too bogged down in Vray power shaders. Good luck!
Ricardo Eloy
Not to mention Real-World scale. As we say around here, it's a "hand on the wheel".

Christopher Nichols
Turn off the texture map filtering, and use adaptive QMC for your AA.
