jvlive
So I thought this was easy. I want to create karaoke style lyrics at the bottom of the screen, but Im experiencing hell just to place the words in. I'm using premiere. I've noticed how unfriendly the title designer is, or is it just me? For example, I want the chorus to roll on screen just 1 line at a time. I couldnt figure out how to do it. when I set it to roll, it rolls over the whole screen from bottom to top. Is there a way to control it so that the 2nd line appears just after the 1st line disappears? And restrict this to the bottom of the screen? I figured I cldnt do it so I resolved to make a new title file for every line. Tedious, but pretty simple right? or so i thought. There is no "save as" function in the title designer (or just cldnt find?), which means after i save line 1 i have to imagine its position on screen so that I know how to place line 2 such that they look aligned in the final video.... Or am I approaching this in a totally wrong direction? Any suggestions guys? No, I cant buy commercial plugins. Thanks in advance
jvlive
ok... i kinda got the hang of it. Just use the "save as..." function of premiere itself to churn out lines of lyrics. Still very tedious, but at least Im getting somewhere. I know there's an easier way than this....
sterealkey
I personally would do it in Macromedia Flash, or Adobe Flash these days on a blue or green background and then chromokey it onto my clip in premiere. Dont know Premiere well enough to give you better tips.
AJLynn
I'd use subtitle text (.srt) files and a playback filter that displays them.
