Frosty
K, odd request I know, but I am trying to create a 3D illustration with red-blue offset to be viewed with old fashioned 3D glasses. In essesnce I have to create a left and a right image with two seperate 3D cameras set side by side. I have it "sort of working" based of trial and error for spacing. The left image goes in the red channel and the right image goes into the blue and green channels Has anyone here done this before? Is there a plugin to make it a bit easier? What about compositing the animated sequences into the red-blue-green channels of a video?
BrianKitts
took some digging thought I remembered this from a news post..... http://www.cgarchitect.com/news/newsfeed.asp?nid=3334 I realize this is for max, but I'm assuming the concept could directly translate...don't know if this will help with your animation question, I don't see why you couldn't put it all together in a standard compositor program. Hope this helps with the process.
William Alexander
http://www.motion-gimmick.net/english/index2_e.htm A camera with two child cams offset to something relative of two eyeballs should work just fine too. Look at the gallery to get an idea of how to comp based on end result. The rest should be a matter of grabing the red channel & what ever channel/combination for the final composite. Frosty
Well, I did a couple of test runs. I haven't used the sample files sent to me yet - but thanks everyone. The result below should work if you have the glasses.
