lefks
Hey Guys, I have a kitchen scene which shows only the sink and faucet and window behind. I cannot seem to get a reflection in the sink. Unfortunetly I cannot post a picture. I cannot get a glossy sink (porcelain). I am using a porcelain vray shader but reflections are just not showing up. Is this because of my lighting setup maybe??? Thanks
Ricardo Eloy
Do you have anything toi be reflected by the sink? Sometimes the absence of reflections is simply caused by the lack of an environment. One thing you can do is put a map in the proper slot on the environment tab of VRay. lefks
I mapped an image to the reflection slot in the vray environment settings. I still see nothing.. Here are my settings for the material: my reflect is set to white Refl gloss: 0.62 Subd: 16 Fresnel: on / 1.6 Max depth 2 exit col: black and then my refract is set to black refraction gloss: 1 sub: 50 ior: 1.6 max dep: 5 and then translucent is checked on

sterealkey
its because your reflection glossines is at 0.62, set this back up to 1, then it will be shiny. If that doesnt work, then take it down to 0.9 and make the reflection colour a dark grey, and switch off fresnel.
