padhia
I am using animated Onyx Storm trees in a scene. Is it necessary to use vray proxies if i want to create and render a large number of trees? Will using Onyx trees keep memory under control the same way proxies do? thank you! Tim Nelson
Using the Onyx Treestorm will not behave the same way that Vray proxies do. You will more than like run into memory problems if you do not convert them to Vray meshes because they are still treated as regular geometry at render time. The downside of using the vray meshes is that you cannot animate them with wind.
