cakewalkr7
I've applied a uvw map modifier to this cushion to try and map the fabric pattern to it, but as you can see from the image, it's not mapping correctly. Is it even possible to get it to map to the cushion without seams using just the uvw map modifier or do I need to do something to the texture in photoshop? Thanks. Brian Smith
have you tried the shrink wrap mapping (ensuring that the meeting point of the map corners occurs at the underside of the object). for a more time-consuming but more accurate method you could also try the unwrap modifier, but that will take some time learning
Tim Nelson
For a real quickie, you could try using box uvw and make all 3 sides the same size. That might line up the seams better.
Jeremy
If you are using a box uvw you may just need to move it down in the Z. The mapping on the sides will change but the top will stay the same. This won't work in every case but I think it will here. The previous methods will, I think, give you more accuracy.
