mfured20
hi guys i have been using max for a over a year, and i really should know this by now, but apparently not... i have been importing 3ds files recently, and when they come in, the gizmo is not centered onto the object. how can i move it back to be centered on the object itself? i tend to import things from formz [formz has an export 3ds by layer that i really like] and when the layer comes in, the gizmos for all the objects are centered like it would be if i had all the objects selected, even if they are not. i self taught max, mosly, and i never really learned how to fix this. im sure it simple, but can anyone help me out? thanks in advance! alias_marks
Yo fellow Denver-ite! Not to many of us out here It's under the Heirarchy tab (big box with 3 boxes below it) > Pivot >Affect Pivot Only > Center to Object wish this was a little easier like maya or blender. I had the same question a couple months into learning max. DownTown MikeBrown
