Something such as a stock image library but there are so many choose from, does someone have any suggestions? I am currently looking at Esnip, does anyone have any experience with it?? i will upload some of the pics for your crits here after a bit of editing! JamesTaylor
if you want to be able to sell your images you could registar on http://www.istockphotos.com i've used it in the past and would descibe it as Turbosquid for photos. Another one is http://www.dreamstime.com hope that helps!
Koper
yeah, thanx James, I am looking at istockphotos and dreamstine looks basically the same. Can I ask you, when you upload an image do the system automatically set all the prizes and formats or do you have to do it yourself, and does other photographers rate your image?? the documentation on the sites aint to clear. thanx again
JamesTaylor
Adriaan, i can't say i've everupload and sold any images on either site so i'm strugling a little to answeryour question. As far as i can remember the images are priced consistantly across the board dependant upon the resolution... usually 3 sizes available for each image low, medium & high which cost 1, 2 or 3 credits respecetively. Credits are prepurchased. In regard to images being rated, from what i remember the rating system goes by no. of downloads, so an image that has never been bought will have no stars and one that has 100 downloads maybe 3 stars and 500 downloads 5stars etc. I'm not sure if the system creates the different sizes automatically, perhaps the thing to do is test with one 1st... i would image you need to attach keywords to each image for the search criteria. Finally i think you get a better % of the cost from dreamstime.
