Monitor question....help!

Recommended Posts

Im about to buy a Dell workstation....

Im used to working with a 19" CRT.....

they are giving me this 2 options....

1.- 2 -19" lcd ultrasharp monitors

2.- 1 - 20" lcd ultrasharp monitor

I mainly use autocad, 3dstudio, photoshop, adobe premier...

so the question is....

what is better...to work with 2 19" or just 1 20"

thanx!!

well personally the dual screen is quite popular..

but i would go with the wider 20 lcd...

you toolbox still ends up on the workspace so

hopping to another screen on the side just to go to another program may not be faster... plus it just takes up RE

getting away from crt is like getting out of jail

they should ban all of them..

There have been studies that show a second monitor can improve productivity by 10-20%. Personally I love working on (2) 20" widescreen monitors.

Like what was previously said, it comes down to personal preference.

thanx....i ordered the two monitor setup.....now lets see if I get used to it....

Guys, quick related question,

i just bought a second Dell ultrsharp 20.1 monitor to along with the one I already have (same type) but i noticed that they colors are not the same from monitor to monitor... is that normal?

for instance a "white" document looks pretty white on one screen and when transfered to the "new" screen it has a tint of yellow/red.

Im just wondering how to fix that or if there is something wrong with my second "new" screen - which is the one that shows yellowish

Im using them both on a single graphics card ATI each connected to its own DVI output.
