pradipta
Hi everybody, after a long time, i am back again. this time with a model of a courtyard of an old house. modeling is done in 3ds max 5 and test rendered using only two lights. i'll texture it from tomorrow with proper light setup. need advice on the design, it's based on a ref picture but i modified the design a lot. thanks in advance for ur comments
TheAllusionisst
Looks fantastic, the only thing I wonder about is the spiral sidewalls on the main stairs on the ground level, great modeling, can't wait to see the textured version.
pradipta
hi ...TheAllusionist , thanks for your comments, here is another render with some changes in the design part, started texturing, also made the light etup more intense just like what happens in a hot summer mid day. Ernest Burden III
a model of a courtyard of an old house. I have an old house. How come it doesn't look like yours? Designwise, The only thing that jumps out at me is the placement of the columns--set back from the facia. I would expect them to be more flush, so the capital would project a bit. But what you have done is probably true to the original house, so I wouldn't change it. I prefer the renders before the textures. The textures are way overthe top. Too big, too mottled, too distracting. The viewpoint is too symetrical for my tastes, try going a little to the right, straighten a bit on the elevation with the stairs. Great modeling! Chad Warner
Have to agree with Ernest on the texturing-Way too distracting, it hides the great model. Also, I think I like the first image the best in terms of lighting. -Chad
Videha
Great Modeling as i lived 20 years in India your texturing is accurate i guess still it looks dirty i would try to make it look fresh (or alomost)and clean
