mac3d
Happy New Year all!!!!!!!!!! Anyone here use Vue 6? I just purchased a license, and I plan to try to work it into my workflow. The environment engine and terrains look great - but I have to see how the rendering times are. - particularly animation wise with moving trees. On another note - who's going to the Monaco conference? I attended the last Siggraph in LA - 2005 - made some great contacts - and the CGArchitect event was great! I'm pretty sure I'll be going to the Monaco event - since I'm planning to travel to Italy around that time for some r&r. Actually I'm pretty excited! see you there!!!!! Bella ciao!!!! myron

thatch
We plan to purchase vue too, can Vray render vue objects / ecosystem? Does it look good up close? Vray wont render vues ecosystem, you will have to render them separately using the vue synchronization plugin for your cameras and lights, then comp them together, vue can render in elements as can vray so you can get lots of control in your 2d app. It would be easier to use vue xstream with mental ray though. If you use procedural terrains it will look good close up.
