pls help this idiot

I accidentally flattened, saved and closed a psd file. Is there any way to recover the layers? I know that was really stupid, but I was like in a clicking rampage trance thingy....

Check that it did not make a back up file will have the ext .bak if it did rename that restore.psd.

Also, if you happen to have something like Norton Protected Recycle Bin you can often use that to recover the previous saved version.

does Photoshop make incremental saved versions?

or is That something That you have To do manually?

 

i sometimes forget and flatten a file Thinking i am going To save it as a jpg

close and have ended up with The exact same results, bummer, so now i

always saveas psd and Then saveas jpg before flattening as a minor

precaution

@randy: i wanted to know that too, if photoshop has incremental saves/backup.

good idea about the wishlist.

@bobM: i didnt know photoshop saves .bak files... if so, which directory would i find them (default location)?
