3D_IC
Hi all. We've recently installed v-ray 1.47.03. I've discovered that v-ray has a mind of its own. When i render a scene some parts are rendered without textures. This happens per bucket and i've put it down to lack or ram, however the pc i'm using has a high spec. intel core2 cpu 6300 @ 1.86Ghz 2 Gb Ram can anyone tell me if they have had similar problems or know how to fix the problem? I've attached renders in which the scenes are unchanged. Simply hitting the render button created a different result each time
manta
Are you rendering on a single computer and are you using max or viz ?
3D_IC
I'm using a single computer with viz. I've used V-ray for years, but here at my new employer we've just recently bought it. I've never come across this problem before.
3D_IC
I forgot to mention that the problem only occurs on images gigger than 640x480.
Razorback
That's a known issue for viz and pre 1.5 version of vray. You can either upgrade to 1.5 or ask a copy of 1.46.
3D_IC
its taken since i started here, around 5 months ago, to get v-ray approved by higher management, and now i need to push for an upgrade. Thats just great!! I'll have to make do with 640x480 images for half a year.
alexg
David Don't you get free upgrade to 1.5 if you purchase 1.47? You might want to contact chaosgroup and ask. Didn't use Viz, but there's no problem with Max in 1.
