wish to get hardest criticism :>

Hi blue,

Welcome to the forum :D

This is a very interesting first post. I am curious as to what the use of the structure is and who the client is, or rather what need is for this building. I’m guessing it’s something to do with oil of course, but is this an office, a learning center, etc…?

The architecture is quite unique and adventurous IMHO, but again suitable probably to the clients use. It’s really hard for me to give any crits for the building without that info and because the JPG compression has taken some of the detail out of the pic. Plus, the camera angle leaves me wondering a bit about the main area/entry of the building, maybe some more pics would help us?

You have set the lighting for a sunny day and it highlights the building well as far as I can see.

As far as crits that I would give:

To comment on the composition of the rendering, some shadows are off, like the bushes to the left have no shade cast on them from the building, and the trees in the background on the right look like they don’t fit to the scene, shadows look off for those also compared to the shadows on the building.

The person looks posted in well, but the BMW, ummm, the perspective looks odd, or maybe it’s the scale, I’m not really sure. The building looks smaller than I imagined it compared to the BMW. And it does look like the front air dam for the BMW is intersecting the sidewalk curb.

The water surrounding the base of the building looks like a texture just pasted in, no depth in the water or reflection from the building. And the tiling from the block on the building is a bit evident.

Honestly, I think we need a better resolution pic and maybe a different angle to give a more accurate assessment; right now it’s just kinda hard to give a truly honest crit with this pic’s res & angle.

Keep us posted :D

Thx,

paul

Ahlan wasahlan neighbor, and welcome aboard.

Overall, I realy liked the image.

Here are my suggestions for improvements:

  • Camera angel is wierd, like Paul said, but I can see how it contributes to acomodate the building, the stone wall, parking lot, green field and the beautifull ocean. So I wouldn't make a big deal out of it.
  • If the BMW driver decided to park in a wierd angle thats ok, since the perspective still fit ok, however you must scale it down and add shadows on the sidewalk in the right angle.
  • Same goes for the trees in the back. They are HUGE comparing to the building and inorder to not pop out of the image they have to get some shadows as well.
  • Some shadows from the palm tree on the beach would also help.
  • If those are small water pools, then the texture still need some more work and bump.
  • The sky, even its very unlealistic, still looks great.

I also have some questiond as well:

  • Did you design it? It looks really nice. If you did, then can you tell us a few words on the project?
  • Some technical details would be nice. Programs used for modeling, rendering, hardware used...

Thats about it.

Again welcome aboard, and keep us posted with your progress.

hi hi everybody thnx aloot for ur comments.. i TRUELY apprciate them, they ll help me for sure. ok now lets take them step by step..

.first this is a design propsal that has been made roughly just to make image of the concept, that has been derived from the ship form, thus it went not so far in details.

paul and

bigcahunak

thnx lots for ur comments, this is mainly office bldg, about the architecture, the client gave me some thoughts and i applied them to this forum, first it had to reflect the ship image as previously mentioned, second it has to create a link between historic bldgs there in the site and the new hi tech. needed for this complicated function bldg.

comments about the image SHOULD be taken in consideration, especially the BMW ;)

i promise to post new images as i got to finsh them,as it still under construction.

really thnx again :):D

quick comment - there's a complete lack of scale going on. it's almost as if you've compiled the image together in photoshop bringing in all the various elements together that make up the picture but have taken not much effort in taking any attention to their relative scales.
