cing3d
I was working with double screen when I had had to give one up for our new studio. I began to start back working (3dmax8) as I began to render my dialog box is now missing. I have checked all the monitor settings not sure if I done that right....can someone tell me of some other settings in max that makes the box disappear? Or educate me on what happens when I unhook the other monitor, it acts as if the "render box AND the environment dialog box" are still showing up in the other screen that is disconnected. HELP! erickdt
This has happened to me before. It sounds like it's somewhere outside of your screen. If you make your monitor resolution higher you might be able to see where it went.

cing3d
OK..I went back and got the other screen and hooked it back up and tried to reposition my dialog boxes so they would show back up in my single screen. Now they took it back I am still finding things I cant see. Is there a easier way to fix this?
Tommy L
try ctl + ' I think that shows all floaters. No actually, thats not correct. I know there is a command that centres all floating toolbars/windows on to your active screen, but i cant remember what it is. Its a windows command, not a max one, Its something like ctl+1 but I totally cant remember. Its one of those things that when you need it, you REALLY F***** NEED IT! I Got it! Its in the (if you use nvidia) desktop manager settings. You can tick a box that 'prevent boxes opening off-screen' along with a host of other settings.
