proces2
i think this should be possible - but i can't figure out the mechanism to do it ... i would like to take the different vertices of a single line and animate them along different paths. the basic path animation function seems only to work at the object level. i would like the same functionality (animating along a path) to work at the sub-object (vertex) level. is this possible? if so, suggestions on how it can be done? thatch
One way to do it would be to create a spline, create Dummy objects at each vertex, then select the first vertex, assign a 'select spline' modifier to it then assign a 'linked XForm' modifier and select the controlling dummy. Do this for all your vertex then animate the dummy objects along your paths and the vertex shall follow.
Charlie Bear
Sean I found a way to do it. First you use the Ikspline modifier on a nurbs curve by points. Then create helpers in the Ikspline dialogue and turn on the axis tripod. That should create verteces that you can animate along seperate paths.
