Accuracy
This here is my current WIP: It's inspired from a movie. Ideas? Sugestions? Oh, and guess what it's made with.

Crazy Homeless Guy
great work. i wonder if the surface styles need more specular reflection? not sure. it works now, because everything feels like it has a dusty feel of a hallway that has not been used in a couple of years. i assume this is the feel you were going for. the only other comment i can think of is the reflection in the painting on the left. the mood and atmosphere of the room suggest to me that the paintings would be real. meaning, they would be oil on canvas, and not reprints. although i doubt that whistler's mother is actually tucked away in a hall like this. unless mr. bean really did steal it. anyway, if they were actual paintings, they would not have glass over them. they would only be framed. dry oil is not reflective, but will often have a lot of specular reflection where there is a brush stroke. depending on how it was mixed. if these were supposed to rep[resent reprints, then glass would be appropriate. it makes the cheaper paper finish look higher quality. if they are glass, then nice job making them look like they have a layer of dust. Fran
Beautiful work. I don't care what the renderer is.
jucaro
The paintings are not really paintings, just fakes, covered with glass. how do original paintings look like when rendered? Let me suggest that you get rid of the chair. it destroys the mood. i'd prefer a volumetric sunrays with dust particles floating. I also agree with CrazyHomelessGuy's suggestion about the framed paintings
Accuracy
The paintings are not really paintings, just fakes, covered with glass. Another test: I know, the chair sucks and the little window above the door looks weird... working on it. The question remains - what's this image made with? I need more answers. Make it like a contest, with no material prize... just the fact that you guessed will make you feel great.
trebs
Mr Acc, I like this image very much, lots of mood in there. Personally, I'd rather have small table in there rather than the chair. Nice touch with the addition of the window though. Max and LW are the guesses so far, whatever you used, you used it well. Trebs.
Accuracy
Nope, wrong. It's neiter MAX nor LW. Keep trying. The paintings - I'm not good at making textures/bump maps, so making them paintings look like the real deal would require research and work for me... I'm lazy. I took out the chair... and I dunno about the little table. I think it would restrict the access to the window and the beautiful view. Thank you all for your input. And a new render. The light in the other room looks better, I think.
