So I have got to get my head around it. So can anybody recomend a good book for reference. We have bentley select. We also have the rendering Book, by Jerry Flinn. I will not be using MS to render it is a joke.....so far behind and slow to use it is rediculous..max and vray are the way to go. So Help...........on the model front please... thanks phi

Tommy Burns
I learned using an old Microstation J tutorial workbook. It is good to demonstrate how accudraw works which is the main tool that makes modeling in MS very easy. Once you know how to use this properly your speed will increase dramatically. Philip I have sent you a private message on this matter seen as we are in the same area.
apychewicz
I could be wrong but our company was looking for a simliar book for 3D modeling and couldnt find anything helpful so we had to have people come in from bentley to train on the 3D modeling. It seems there are no books out at this time which go into depth on 3D modeling in Bentley. We also have both Jerry Flynn books on rendering and animation and i agree Vray is the way to go although ive been told that Athens (Bentleys new version coming out later this year) is suppose to have a much better rendering interface. VUMOdesign
My suggestion is to get a handle on accudraw then just experiment. We have a book but is well outdated and geared toward v7 not xm and most of it isn't relevant anymore. like any 3d software explore manipulate and you'll learn. I've been on it 8months now and have picked up alot and can competently model anything. Triforma another can of worms though. That book though was Everything 3D second editon. only 20% useful
