ASIAN T
I need to produce a set of sun studies very quickly...I am using vray, but am flexiable if max is quicker..I want strong shadows and contrast ...any hints?
Tim Saunders
Because I like the results of Vray, I will still use a direct light with vray shadows. But it is nice how max has the daylight system for sun studies. In the past, I have just used the max daylight system so I can input the location and time of year and day to get the position of the sun. But then I just place my direct light right next to the daylight sun from max, and turn the daylight system off (or delete it, I forget).
Ricardo Eloy
Or you can use the new VRaySun with VRaySky as a bg. Works great and you can link it to the daylight (turn the daylight off) to creat animations.
Horhe
Yep like Rick said you can link the vray sun with the max sun light into a hierarchy using the parent-child linkage system. Now just modify the max sun parameters and automatically the vray sun changes its positionas the max sun does. Remeber, and if im counting correctly im the third person that tells you this: turn of max sun Cheers
