Stephen Thomas
How do I get my rendered images to look the same in Photoshop as they did in the render frame window during rendering? They almost always appear darker, I assume it has something to do with gamma correction but not sure how to rectify this. Please help!
Horhe
Depends if your using gama correction under max dialog or under vray? If under max (in the preferences settings) you should save your image checking the box under the "save name" and "type of image" space. From there you can select the gamma options and tweak the values. If its in vray then you have the gamma control under the color map options in the render dialog. Hope that helps Cheers
Horhe
If you have a high resolution set up you can always print screen...
robkar97
Try setting the "output gamma" to the same value as "display gamma". Otherwise, when saving the visual framebuffer to a jpg and opening it in Photoshop, I think you'll see a completely different image... BrianKitts
There's many different combinations.... really depends on which file format you are saving to. I do it two ways depending on what I'm doing with the images in post. setup 1. max output gamma 1.0 vray gamma 1.0 vray frame buffer w/ sRGB enabled save out to EXR adjust as 32bit image is PS convert to 8bit save to jpg setup 2. max output gamma 1.0 vray gamma 2.2 vray frame buffer no sRGB correction save to jpg
