Perhaps inevitable....

Recommended Posts

Just took delivery of my new system. C2D E6600, 2gb 667 ram, Leadtek 7950GT 256mb all in an antec solo case with silverstone 550w powersupply.

in another word. damn near perfect.

Problems:

In acad 2007, turning hardware acceleration on seems to slow everything down and brings in 'artifacts'. One of these is a 'ghost' of cursor/crosshair that gets left behind when you move the crosshair around, a quick flick of the zoom wheel 'refreshes' everything but this does not happen with hardware acceleration turned off.

another problems seems to be when a scene is made up of random organic curves and a 3D section from it, the section only contains the cutaway plan, the 3D shape behind it dissapears. this doesn't happen with simple sections.

Is there something i can tweak to fix these or do i just have to wait until someone comes out with better drivers or patches that fix this kind of thing.

back to company of heroes :D

heres some drivers i have found

93.17 (lastest from nvidia, but does not list 7950gt under supported, and the driver that is giving me problems)

91.47 lists 7950 but is older

91.36 only driver that supported both quadro and game cards.

which one would be better? would it totally screw up my system if i try al of them? uninstalling as i go?
