geardaddy1
Hi All, I am doing an animation of a fly thru of a downtown area. The camera goes right over a skyway (for those who don't live in cold cities they are glass walkways that connect buildings.) Anyways the glass starts to flash as the camera goes away from it. At first I thought it was 2 polys fighting with each other because the glass was only 1 inch thick....so I made the piece of glass thicker - 3 inches. Same problem. Has anyone had this issue using Vray and glass? Thanks in advance!
martin walker
it might be your light source being reflected in the glass
Brian Smith
Are large areas flashing or are small spots flickering? Have you baked the lighting? Can you post a small segment of the animation?

Can you post a small segment of the animation? Hi Brian, Thanks for the reply. The whole glass piece flickers....all at the same time. I am going to run a test in alittle bit with IOR to 1.1 and deleting the back polys of the glass to see if that helps. So, really having only a plane for glass, which if I remember right, you are not supposed to have to do with vray. I am not sure if I can post this animation yet...I will check and see. Thanks again, Dave
