ki_cz
A couple of pretty minor questions: 1) I've been following the whole maxwell thing for a while and remember back in the "RC" days that a lot of the upgrades caused a tonne of problems and people had to revert back. I was wondering if there is any way to keep 2 instances of maxwell installed on 1 machine? 2) Will there ever be clouds implemented into the sky system? Although it's great for quick easy renders and for interior lighting, I find that for outdoor renders it really leaves a lot to be desired. Although it's great for quick easy renders and for interior lighting, I find that for outdoor renders it really leaves a lot to be desired. Clouds have been discussed many times and it's something that NL says they will do eventually but there has been no specific date yet. If you’re using Maxwell to do still images you can simply replace the generic Maxwell sky with an image that you like more. When doing animations you’re kind of stuck with the physical sky it comes with unless you use an HDRI background which I haven't tried yet but should work in theory. I use Vue to generate sky backgrounds for my images now, I can render them out at any resolution I want and they are completely convening, you might want to try the demo.
