i dont believe it i man it sounds like the music was put in after the vid was made the kid lookes like hes good but i just dont believe it but it is good music

I go with this reply on tube. I think the fellow actually can rock, but the vid was shot with a poor cam and mostly the sound on a cheap cam is not all that. Even when the sound recording was done by another tool, the room is too small for the acoustic quality. Sometimes you see a slight playback-alike slip too...

Nevertheless, it's very cool to see a passion like that!

just amazing

Yo Dennis, wazzup, i am gonna have to disagree with you cause one is able to sync the guitar with the pc through MIDI controls and thus I totally think this guy is fo'real, obviously he's got a backtrack also but his sound was not recorded through a normar mic ;)

it's matter of opinion i suppose. i dont find that last link overly impressive. he's playing a similar sequence over and over using a fair whack of fx to aide in the sound quality. ok, he's fast, but the delay and compression helps in that illusion.

just my opinion of course.

now this i find impressive...... http://www.filecabi.net/video/bohemian-rhapsody-guitar.html

Damn, that's impressive. I love this tricky stuff.

The first time through the Canon video it seemed possibly fake - took a couple watchings to figure out what he's actually doing and it helps to see a

. He's fast and he's got great sweep picking technique.

Dennis: the audio and video have been recorded separately, the backup tracks are electronic and he's using digital effects to get that sound quality, you can do it in any studio setting.

most peoples first take is "yeah..yeah....its just fast scales " but if you try and learn his licks, they are so cleverly arranged..unusual string skips timings, strengths. The Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen stuff is ace, but anyone can learn them with enough time....Gilberts stuff has got the "Hendrix" factor about...its not just speed and accuracy,,,,,theres a ton of feeling in there.

He uses very little effects, usually straight distortion through a Laney. I used to be a massive fan of Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen, Jason Becker, EVH et al....got a bit bored by them then discovered this guy around 7 years ago. I'd say hes in the top 5...hes got everything, rhythm, speed, funk, melody.

to quote "Sir" Brian May after watching Paul perform once..."I am not worthy"

he can even play Flamingo !!!
