adri
Hi I want to start learning 3ds max. Are there any DVD/CD tutorials that you can recommend? The thought of ordering a 900 page book from Amazon is just too much to bare. I've used a product called Virtual Tutor 10 for learning Archicad and it's simply a collection of quicktime movies that show you how to use the product. Very easy and a great way to get started! Any similar things out there for 3ds max? TIA Adri
adri
yes, thanks. they will be great. but what I really want is a CD/DVD based 'course' on 3ds max. you can spend so much time browsing and learning bits here and there when really a well prepared DVD is going to save loads of time. many thanks and I'll work through the podcasts...(time permitting) Adri

BrianKitts
join the AREA site that autodesk released last year (it's free).... http://area.autodesk.com/ inside there's a whole learning section (select max from the drop down unless you plan on learning maya too.....) there's a pretty good max section, with a good set of tutorials starting from the basics...... http://area.autodesk.com/learning/
