Jennifer
Hi Craig, Have you tried it yet? Being a max user, I found it to be frustrating, and the viewport display to be quite slow. It's not very intuitive, and the parameters for creating objects are buried in other menus. It shows promise. There was a thread recentlyon sub-d modeling vs. NURBS. Have fun! Craig Ramsay
Nope I haven't tried it yet, I might have a go this weekend. I like modeling in max but I think there could be a lot more tools built in to help workflow, it would save me looking for scripts all the time :angesigh: Craig
Jennifer
Hi Craig, I'm always looking for better ways to do things, too. SketchUp looks quite promising, is fast, and relatively inexpensive. That product I was impressed with; it had a simple and useful user interface, and things seemed intuitive. I haven't found that same feel for Silo. I'll look at it again in R2. Have fun!
