Aaron2004
Hello! I am needing a certain object to only reflect objects within 10 feet of it. Something tells me I need to look at a falloff map, but that seems to be geared more towards normals. How do I get VRAY to do this? Thanks! DavidR
I use Vray too, but don't have it in front of me, but in std Max mat, you can go into raytrace controls and give the refl a linear, inverse, or inv. square falloff. Maybe you could use a std mat for this 1 thing? Maybe Vray has a way to do this -I'll try it at work tomorrow.
Christopher Nichols
The quick and dirty method is to click on the fresnel option in the shader. The better way to do it is to use the falloff map with a fresnel falloff...
