mlove
Hi there. I have been working on an interior perspective for a sports facility that is basically looking out over a pool. The pool is encased by a curtain wall. I have used VRay and 3ds max but am still learning it. The photo needs a lot of work still. Any suggestions? I don't know why the background is such a dark blue. I cant seem to find the right setting to change that (i have tried all sorts of lights and backgrounds). Also the grass sucks and generally the scene looks very unrealistic. Any help, comments or suggestions would be great. Thanks, -Mike
Koper
hello Mike, first of, i don't think you have your shadows turned on , tell us a bit more about the scene setup, by the looks of it i think you are using standart max target spots or omni's, go into their settings and check the ''shadows on'' check box, then in the drop down box select ''vrayshadow'' i think before we can help you further you need to tell us your light setup. the blue background can be changed to any color you want, or to a photo if you need, press 8 and the environment and effects dialog will pop up, under the environment tab play around with the box called 'background' cheers
cing3d
Thats cool. I had to develop a complete sports complex last spring semester. I had three months to take a 3d cad model that our autocad students created and model 10 interior scenes. With the help of 2 more students modeling while I mapped and lighted the joint we pulled it off. That explains the incomplete classes I just finished. Anyway here are a few shots from it. Good work man! It only gets better.
