fts
Is there a way to get rid of these kind of artifacts caused by Vray? See pic attached. I believe there is a setting in the Vray dialog box that improves it. Thanks
Ky Lane
Im no expert (still learning) but Up the Irrandiance Map settings to high (or just higher) and up the HSph subdivs - however the more you put, the longer to render (its loosely connected to how many rays of light exit each emitter to form shadows etc)... However, if someone else knows better?

prathamesh
Seems u r using HDRI environment map. The only source of problem seems poor Irradiance Map. Solution: a) Use current preset to 'Medium' HSph.subdivs value to 30 Interp.samples to 20 This wil give a good balance of Quality & Speed b) Use current preset to 'High' HSph.subdivs value to 50 Interp.samples to 20 This wil give good GI solution at at cost of high IR Map calculation times. Ideal for Stills not Animation if u only have one machine. c) From my personal experiences a changing to a different HDRI map can solve ur problem. I find some HDRI maps render better & cleaner at same settings than others. If i am not wrong its a good idea to use a blurred smaller HDRI map for Environment to get better GI.
