STRAT
one use of sketchup in my firm is to work up existing autocad models. i might import a bit from autocad into sketchup to be ammended, but when i export it back out of SU and into AC it comes in in a different possition and i need to move it back into place. this happens all the time. SU positions imported items automatically around the 0,0,0 coordinate, and NOT the relative co-ordinate it should come in at. how can i syncrinize importing between AC and SU in exactly the same possitions all the time. the problem lies with SU and not AC btw. we're so far using SU 5. ta muchly
AJLynn
For that kind of thing, I've had good results with placing an object at 0,0,0. Include it in all exports and imports and usually it makes everything else organize around that. And if that doesn't work, you can move the imported stuff using that reference point to 0,0,
