taprice
Anyone use this feature successfully. I've never tried it though I've been using VIZ for years and now I can seem to make it work. Any thoughts?
MegaPixel
You're talking about the area in the rendering dialogue right? I have used this feature with "some" success. When rendering without backburner, I can usually get it to work however makesure your virus software doesn't block suspicous emails from applications on your computer other then outlook (curses McAfee...). When rendering a backburner project however, I have not been able to get the emal notifications to work at all. On that note, I think it would be worth while setting up the backburner manager as a service and accessing it's information page though the internet, however I havn't figured out how to do that yet. neil poppleton
a cool feature i played with once but i could only get the email within the office to work and not manage to send one to my home pc, which would be ideal for render checking on a weekend. taprice
My IT dept and I have been trying everything to get it to work with no success. I am trying to send an email from my computer to my computer and no luck. I can't think of anything else. Could either of you give me the format you used in those three boxes that actually worked? It would be nice if it would at least show an error if it doesn't work so I know I'm doing something wrong. Miserable in Michigan...
MegaPixel
Then I think it's high time we bombarded the autodesk/max forums with the bug and tell em to make it work for the next productivity booster...
