geardaddy1
So, I am trying to add animated flags in my scence per clients request. Here is the problem. It should be a easy four step process using Reactor/RB/Cloth/ and wind right? My flag blows up. Goes crazy, polys flying everywhere. Is there a trick. I even did the cloth tutorial on this site with no luck. I am using max 8.3. Please help, Thanks, Dave
karl zacharias
had a similar problem...that covered wagon tut should give you the proper constaint that's causing the crazy poly thing...that's how I figured it out...if I remember it's like one little check box...couldn't find that sample scene for reactor but I give you an alternative method...flex modifier...here's the scene
Ricardo Eloy
Thihs could be due to an units issue. When working with reactor it's important to have the units set properly, otherwise it can have problems resolving, for example, the density of the cloth. geardaddy1
Thanks Rick, I also thought that, but nothing seems to work. The flag will fall correctly if I don't have it constraint to a rigid body, but man, when I select a vert and attach it to a Rigid body it freaks. Who knows, I have tried a few other tutorials out there, and I feel like I am correctly doing it, it just is not workin.
thatch
Have you tried using the Cloth modifier in max rather than reactor?
