michael557
I was looking at one of the tutorials for modo where a guy models a face. http://www.luxology.com/community/t...odeling_a_head/ in part 3 how does he gets faces smooth, I mean the edges are smooth ? Is something like that possible in cinema 4d ? And I saw that when you create a head there are many like sharp edges how can I smooth them to create an organic looking effect ? I couldnt find anything google sorry about that. Thanks and sorry for trouble
jrizzo
Your link isn't working for me, but my best suggestion is to use a hyperNURBS object. Create a hyperNURBS object and set your head model as a child of it. You can select points or edges in your model and weight them (holding down the period key and dragging your mouse) to make them smoother or harsher. michael557
Can I add hyperNurbs after I done the model?
jrizzo
You can add the hyperNURBS object at any time. I actually try to do as much of my model as possible before adding it in, because I often work on an older machine and adding in all those extra polys can slow my file down quite a bit. Frosty
Place your poly model inside the hypernurbs at the beginning. You can always turn off the hypernurbs subdividing at any time and you can also adjust its divisions.
michael557
Thank guys, but theres another thing I need help with ... I created few points by creating a polygon, selecting the points and holding down the ctrl button I created few points. I want to connect them all now, I mean just like a line along them to make a shape, so to do this i use create polygon and I connect each one of them.but there was actually need to make the polygons, deselct and make another ones to create one shape. This therefore resulted in some unneeded lines inside the shape. I tryed to select them and delete but the shape was being like ripped apart, sides were deleted as well as other lines that I didnt want to delete actually disapeared. How can I just delete the lines inside without damading rest of the model ? Thanks for help Michael
Billabong
if your trying to get rid of an edge inside of an object, select the the 2 polygons on either side of the edge and melt them then, go into point mode and delete the point, Someone made a great coffee script to to get rid of edge loops over at cgtalk, cinema sub forum, if your trying to connect tow points that have an open space between them, use the bridge tool, we have a few tutorial over http://www.c4dportal.com, that will help you, but I think you should also learn all the basics, hop on over to the cafe as well and watch all the basic modeling tools tutorials. good luck!
