Ky Lane
Well, this is some of the shots from my work so far. Im still fairly new to 3Dvis, and Im far from perfect I know, and the camera shots are just setup to show the entire model, not for final presentation. Would love some CC&C. Cheers. Justin Hunt
Only thing that sticks out is the composition, is there a reason for showing more ceiling than floor? I have been keeping an eye on the progress of this one and its come out well. JHV
Ky Lane
Not really, but as far as dimensions go, I dont have much to work with there. But, the carpet IS f'ugly!
Justin Hunt
fun having a conversation on two threads at the same time:cool: If the target was dropped so that the focus is in the furniture then the floor and ceiling will balance out. Wide shots like this can work well for hiding ugly floors and ceilings JHV
Ky Lane
Well thats the idea. Still have to wait to hear the dimensions of what I have to finally render, so Ill compose it a little better, and do some PS work with the greenery. Nic H
Hey there Ky. modelling looks solid, texturing not bad but the lighting is overblow I think, way too white not enough shadow detail or contrast, might be an idea to introduce some colour into your lights. Whats your set up - lights wise? vray light under the ceiling on a low multiplier? vray lights pointing into windows? spots with ies for everything else? alfienoakes
Coming on Ky.. been watching this one in the vray area... Looks pretty good. What are your frame times for each of these..? How many frames will it be in total..? It is for an animation isnt it..? Sure I read that on the Vray area... Like the aspect as well. I think animations look much better in a wide screen view. Agree, some of the colours could do with a bit more contrast.. Looking good thou..
Koper
hi Ky, looking good so far, but i have to agree on the camera and lighting issues. the camera i feel is to low. The lighting is way out, to bright, maybe you have the default max lighting on as well, check this in you vray global switches tab cheers

I have a huge Vray light over the entire scene to simulate the fluroescent lighting, another underneath hitting only the ceiling to light it up a bit, and a direct light coming in through thebay window to simulate the sun. Again, by first attempt at internal office lighting.

These were rendered more as checks of the modelling/lighting -not final.

Lighting, yeah its bright...but its the best I could acheive to simulate office fluroescent lighting
Tommy L
Instead of one huge vray light, why not put in an array of small instanced vray lights where the flourescent light fittings are? May help you control the liighting a little easier. You could add just a touch of yellow to the lights.
Ky Lane
Would be alot of lights....I did try this originally, and it took FOREVER to render.
stylEmon
Nice models. I think the steril look works for an office, but the shapes are lacking depth. This is one instance where an ambient occlusion pass would really help out.
