Hi,

Here is my final (or almost final) work.

I'm not happy with the result but I don't know what's missing.

I have a HDRI for environment light, a direct light faking the sun and textures are from the web site vray materials.de.

Rendered with QMC and Exponential coloring.

How can I anchieve a better image? What's missing? This is a problem I'm having only with exterior scenes.

Thanks a lot,

King Regards

Well, the resolution and/or AA settings are horrible. I'm sure know that. It's all fuzzy. Other than that, there really isn't much to your scene. All the planting looks like it's part of a crappy background image. If you had more plants in the yard it would help. Also, thour gray material looks like just a plain old defalt material with no texture on it. good luck.

How did you want it to look? Were you hoping for more realism?

One thing I would definately do is get rid of the depth of field... it makes the house look really small as if you're looking at it through a macro lens.

Also a srtong motivational light to represent the sun would liven this up alot with a warmer color and the shadows it would create.
