richmondlu
Thanks for the reply. I just havent turned on the shadows until the final renders..other wise it takes to much time to do quick shots for revisions for the client. But yes shadows will improve it. Tommy L
Is there any point in turning on gi and fg if the shadows are turned off? I havnt used MR for yonks, but the logic isnt quite right to me. I think you may get a shock when you turn on shadows and your computer freezes up for a few hours. Id start optimizing now, you have a lot of glas in that scene to get right. good luck!
richmondlu
the point being to figure out the intensity of the light being emitted for overall ambience. The fg changes the intensity of the light being used when interacting with an outside light (the sun) so not turning it on is a waste of time. Then i will work on the intensity of the shadowing after i figure out the intensity of the light. Also the client wanted this and the rest of the bar modeled out in two days. With all custom built furniture that i had to model as well, i will post those as well. so by me not turning the shadows on i could talk back and forth with him in florida faster about colors and materials. other wise i would have to sit and wait for 3-4 hours to get a render that i could get feedback on. didnt really have time for that. So any who. thanks for the comments and i will post a final for you as soon as i get around to sizeing it down for posting.
