The Verifiable Planning Process.

I am sure this topic has been covered, but I would be interested in anybody knows of any documents , official planning guidelines that exist that detail the requirements for the above.

 

We produce many photo montages and always document the methodolgy used and in only 2 cases have been asked to provide this information to support the images in the planning process.

in the UK at the mo there is no legally specific methodology to follow (as far as im aware). we too looked into this but the cost and effort of garanteeing your imagery is 100% is next to impossible. Companies and visualisers do do it of course, but it's not a legal requirement. a few local authorities want as much proof as you can give them in order to satisfy themselves, especially if the site is a sensitive area, the best you can do is supply them with all your documentation.

If this is not enough then point them in the direction of a visualiser who'll take it a fair few stages further - but he'll cost the earth.

We too have been asked to do thos for planning appeals etc. The best we could realistically provide was survey data from the camera location and a step by step process explanation with images. Seemed to suffice.

I find it interesting that a couple of 3d companies are RIBA CPD certified to talk about the verifiable planning process, wonder if anyone has seen their presentations ?
