Aaron2004
Hey all, Before VRAY, I was able to install the demo version of VIZ on my coworkers computer and even though the demo would expire, backburner would still work. I'm not having as much luck with the Distributed Renderer that comes with VRAY. Is it possible to use demo versions of VIZ/MAX as servers? Thanks, Aaron
Chad Warner
Yes. I don't know what the issue is with distributed rendering, but the viz/max thing should not be an issue. That's how render farms work.
Aaron2004
MMMm....well, I'm following the tutorial on Chaos Group's Site. Do you even NEED 3D Studio like backburner did, or can VRAY just do it on it's own. The site is alluding to the fact that we need 3D Studio, but I think it's outdated because some of the menu heirarchies it sends me through don't exist.
